3. User Accounts

5. Subscription Plans and Payments

ResumeAligner offers both free and paid subscription plans:

Free Plan

Our free plan provides limited access to resume alignments per month with basic features.

Paid Plans (Pro & Premium)

• Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis
• Payment is processed through our secure payment provider, Stripe
• All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription fees. Any price changes will be communicated to you in advance and will not affect your current billing cycle.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload to ResumeAligner, including your resumes and personal information. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing our Service to you.

Our Content

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by ResumeAligner and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI tools is provided to you for your use. While you may use this content for your job search purposes, we retain ownership of the AI models and algorithms that generate such content.

7. Data Privacy and Security

We take your privacy seriously. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

While we implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

Service "As Is"

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

No Guarantee of Results

While ResumeAligner aims to improve your resume's ATS compatibility and overall quality, we do not guarantee:

• Job interviews or employment offers
• Specific ATS score improvements
• Acceptance by any particular ATS or employer
• The accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content

AI Limitations

Our AI-powered tools provide suggestions and optimizations based on algorithms and data. Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content for accuracy, appropriateness, and truthfulness before use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeAligner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
• Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted or shared through the Service

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the liability.

• Stripe for payment processing
• Supabase for data storage and authentication
• OpenAI, Anthropic, and other AI providers for content generation

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and all associated data
• You will no longer have access to any content stored in your account

13. Governing Law
